In order to access BillPay and eStatements, you need to allow “pop-ups” from Northwest Resource. Many web browsers (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox) have tools to turn on or off text windows called “Pop-ups”. When visiting unfamiliar web pages, it is precautionary to block these pop-up windows as they could be used to display annoying ads or possibly impose a security risk. However, BillPay and eStatements will not work if pop-up blockers are turned on for Northwest Resource.
The following are instructions on how to turn off pop-up blockers for trusted sites (such as www.nrfcu.org) for different browsers:
Internet Explorer 6/7:
- Windows: Go to menu item Tools / Internet Options / Privacy / Pop-up Blocker / Enable the option for "Block pop-ups". Go to "Pop-up Blocker Settings". Type in "nrfcu.org", click on "Add".
Firefox 2.0x/Mac or Windows:
- Windows: Go to the menu item Tools / Options / Content. Check off "Block Pop-up Windows", but click on "Allowed Sites" for that option and follow the instructions to add “nrfcu.org" as "allowed sites".
- Mac: Go to the Firefox menu (to the right of the Apple menu) and select Preferences. Click on 'Content', then check the box for "Block Pop-up Windows". Click on "Exceptions". Follow the instructions to add “nrfcu.org” as "allowed sites".
Firefox 3.0x/Mac or Windows:
- Windows: Go to the menu item Tools / Options / Content. Check off "Block Pop-up Windows", but click on "Exceptions" for that option and follow the instructions to add “nrfcu.org” as "allowed sites".
- Mac: Go to the Firefox menu (to the right of the Apple menu) and select Preferences. Click on "Content", then check the box for "Block Pop-up Windows", then click on "Exceptions". Follow the instructions to add “nrfcu.org" as "allowed sites".
Safari/Mac OS X:
- Go to the Safari menu (to the right of the Apple menu). Select "Block Pop-Up Windows" to uncheck and disable the pop-up blocker. Note: Safari doesn't have a way to add site exceptions so the pop-up blocker is either on or off.
Other Pop-up Managers/Toolbars:
- Google toolbar allows you to click on their toolbar link to allow or block pop-ups.
If you have more than one account with eStatements and are having trouble viewing eStatements for your other account(s), you may need to clear your “cache”: For Apple users, when the Safari window is up, click on the word "Safari" in the toolbar. From there select the option "Clear Cache".
