Getting Started
Before you start shopping, ask yourself these questions:

• What can I afford? Do I have a down payment?
  This is not just a monthly payment but the overall cost of the vehicle. Use our Loan Calculator to see what you can afford. Know the value of the vehicles before you sign any paper work. We use the NADA Appraisal Guide on used vehicles. It is more conservative and reassures you're not paying an inflated price for your car. If you will be selling or trading in your old car, you should know the NADA value as well.

• Do I understand what I can afford vs. my want list?
  If you are not sure what you want in a car and what prices to pay, contact our car purchasing service, Autoland. They can help answer your questions.

• Have I reviewed what the insurance will cost on this vehicle?
  Talk to your insurance company before you sign papers. Sometimes the car payment and the insurance will price you out of what you thought you could afford. Northwest Resource offers discounted auto insurance through Liberty Mutual.

• What will my costs be down the road?
  You may want to consider the fuel economy for the car you are buying. The United States Environmental Protection Agency has put together a fuel economy guide at www.fueleconomy.gov.
